The Challenge
Small business owners didn’t need another promise of speed. They needed a reason to trust the process.
SBA loans can offer attractive rates and long-term value, but the path to securing one is widely perceived as tedious, ambiguous and unpredictable. Established business owners often understand the opportunity—and still question whether obtaining the capital is worth the time, energy and exposure.
Moxie Money was entering a fragmented market between traditional banks and fast-moving fintechs. To earn consideration, it needed to stand for something neither side consistently delivered: competitive funding paired with early clarity, trusted guidance and respect for the owner’s time.

“Trust is the product. We’re selling confidence before we’re selling loans.”

The Insight
In SBA lending, clarity isn’t supporting content. It is the product experience.
The research revealed that small business owners were not simply seeking a faster transaction. They wanted a copilot: a partner who could shoulder the complexity, explain what comes next and help them make an informed decision without pressure or financial surprises.
That shifted the brand opportunity from selling loans to building confidence. Trust had to be earned before conversion—through education, transparency and visible guidance at every touchpoint.

The Solution
We built the brand and the experience around one role: the small business copilot.
WCG created a connected system spanning positioning, value proposition, brand architecture, visual identity, voice and responsive website UX. “The Small Business Copilot” gave Moxie a clear market role; “Lending Momentum” translated that role into an active, memorable promise.
The forward-leaning identity paired warmth with credibility, while the website made the strategy tangible: education before conversion, plain-language explanations, transparent disclosures, clear eligibility language and guidance instead of pressure. Compliance became evidence of confidence—not a constraint to hide.
From upward momentum to practical guidance, every element reinforced the same idea: Moxie helps owners move forward without losing control.

The Impact
A strategy that made it all the way to market.
The campaign generated significant growth across key engagement measures, validating both the creative strategy and the brand platform developed in partnership with ABNB. Custom illustration style played a critical role. Featuring diverse individuals, local environments, and relatable moments, the creative helped audiences see themselves and their neighborhoods in the brand, fostering stronger recognition and connection.
The impact extended beyond the numbers. ABNB saw increased activity across markets, stronger engagement with digital experiences, and growing visibility for its brand. The foundation established through this work is enabling future campaigns focused on membership growth, creating a scalable model for continued expansion.

I want to reiterate the compliments Steve gave you guys. He said he was blown away with the results but also the thought process you went to arrive at the outcomes. He said he has seen a lot of these types of preso's over the years and they are normally filled with a lot of BS. But not this time. He felt you guys knocked out of the park with the process, substantiation and end results.
And I told him ... "I couldn't agree more"
